Maths and English Tutor: Denby Liddelow B. Ed., Dip. Teach

An experienced tutor and Excelr8 Learning's founder, Denby has specialised in out of school education since 1994, helping children achieve their potential and succeed at school. He set up Excelr8 Learning at Hardwick in 2006 with the aim of providing excellent, supplementary private tuition for Cambridge children.

Maths and English Tutor: Anna Crown M. Sc., B. Ed.

Centre Manager, Anna is an English specialist with over 25 years’ experience. Following her initial degree in English and Drama, Anna taught in various secondary schools in England. Until December 2007 Anna was as an AST (Advanced Skills Teacher) at a local college. She has previously held Head of English Faculty and Assistant Head Teacher posts.

Maths and English Tutor: Amanda Gibbard M.A., PGCE, B.A. Hons

Amanda is currently employed in a Cambridge primary school 2 days a week. Her wide experience includes primary teaching in the UK and teacher training in the Gambia and at the University of East Anglia.  Amanda’s interests include gender issues, education in Sub-Saharan Africa, literacy, non-formal education and community development. Amanda is a committed and experienced tutor and a valuable member of our team.

Maths and English Tutor: Dorothy Moore PGCE,  B.Ed.

Dorothy originally trained as a primary teacher and has wide experience of primary teaching in both the U.K. and U.S.A. Her specialities are Maths and English. Dorothy is very experienced with Key Stage 1 and 2 students and is a committed and enthusiatic member of our Hardwick tutors team.

Private Tutoring Lesson Details:

Our lessons are 1 1/4 hours long and start at the times listed below. Each lesson is prepared individually for each child and contains several different activities to keep students inspired, interested and enjoying the work. Parents specify the subjects studied and the lesson focus. More than one subject can be included during each lesson. After the lesson we take the time to let parents know about the successes and difficulties encountered by their child during the lesson. Subjects available include: Maths - English - Reading - Spelling - Writing – Handwriting - Science - A Level English - History – ICT - Adult Basic Skills
